Concept:                                                                                                                                                                           Storyboard:
The Fridge“, a psychological Horror Short Film by Berlin Film Production, is scheduled for release in 2024.
The narrative, directed by Jari Hegewald, tells the story of a boxer (by Eric Spiering), whose last fight finished with a life changing talk to his promoter (by Leander Haußmann).
The chosen art concept takes a color palette and set design that reflects the protagonist's emotional journey    and is appropriately connected to each shooting location:
• Flat: Depression, Loneliness, Death, Degeneration
• Boxing Ring: Aggression, Pain, Excess
• Changing Room: Dejection, Loneliness
• House: Love, Intimacy, Aggression, Passion
The flat, which is shown in detailed sketches, was taken as a shelter where the main character can hide from life’s challenges, the place where he was forced to move during the film, but never had the time and the will to make it cozy. The location represents his helplessness and sense of isolation, while some of the broken or destroyed objects symbolize his mental state.
Contrasting with the house, the character's previous living space is in a red and orange palette, which represents  a variety of emotions from love to anger (the same red we can see in a boxing ring), while the changing room is in white, which shows feelings of loneliness more strongly.
